Video games have faced public stigma as they have grown more accessible and more mainstream, leading to common stereotypes that misrepresent their impact. This campaign aimed to tackle these issues and to breathe confidence into gamers so that they can be proud of their hobbies.
The Press Play campaign had its identity represented through various mediums to ensure that intended target audience was reached. A billboard allowed for the general public to be exposed to the design while creating a social media persona for the campaign reached an audience of non-gamers who would normally avoid games as a whole. Finally a video game was created to teach players about the common misconceptions about video games.
This campaign was created as part of a capstone project for Monash University's Communication Design.
